Lead Electrical Engineer (m|w|d) medium-voltage power converters

Your Tasks

• As part of global hydropower plant projects, you will be responsible for the implementation of electrotechnical systems.
• You will design converter solutions and optimize them in cooperation with the generator engineering department.
• Your main tasks will include handling start-up and direct converters as well as DFIM excitation systems for power plant projects, including the engineering of auxiliary systems.
• You will also be responsible for checking, clarifying interfaces and integrating the detailed and component engineering of system suppliers and planning offices into the overall planning of the power plant.
• You will monitor cost budgets and deadlines and support Purchasing (in specifying the systems) and Sales (in preparing quotations and in negotiations with our customers).
• You will be involved in factory acceptance tests at suppliers, customer meetings and on-site meetings worldwide.

Your Profile

• You have successfully completed a degree in electrical or power engineering.
• You already have specialist knowledge of higher power and voltage inverter technology.
• Experience in handling complex technical systems and installations is desirable.
• You are business fluent in written and spoken German and English, further foreign language skills are advantageous.
