WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As a Project Managing Consultant, you make a real difference for the future of BASF by providing innovative solutions and effective recommendations to BASF's leaders. Our internal customers include the entire value chain of BASF from base chemicals to specialties, each with their unique requirements. You will be focusing on the topics of sustainability, end-to-end supply chain processes, automation & digitalization initiatives and complexity management.

• End to end project leadership: You lead high impact supply chain consulting engagements from initial problem structuring and value case design through solution development and implementation planning.
• CORE value chain focus: You drive transformations in large scale, cost critical chemical and consumer care–relevant value chains, with emphasis on planning, S&OP, logistics, inventory, and network optimization.
• Senior stakeholder engagement: You act as a trusted sparring partner for senior leaders and project sponsors, communicating clearly, fact based, and with a strong value orientation.
• AI enabled consulting: You leverage advanced analytics and AI supported tools (e.g. scenario modeling, planning analytics, process mining, decision support solutions) to accelerate insights, improve decision quality, and increase consulting impact.
• Capability building: You coach and develop consultants in modern consulting methods, digital and AI capabilities, and BASF Winning Ways behaviors, ensuring sustainable adoption in the organization.
• Thought leadership: You continuously monitor external trends and internal priorities to develop new methodologies and scalable solutions for BASF’s future supply chain challenges.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• several years of professional experience in supply chain consulting or transformation roles, ideally in CORE chemical, consumer care, or asset intensive industries
• proven expertise in areas such as supply chain strategy, planning, S&OP, cost optimization, inventory management, or logistics
• strong strategic thinker with a hands on, data driven mindset and experience leading teams and complex stakeholder environments
• exposure to advanced analytics, AI supported planning, or digital supply chain solutions is a strong advantage
• excellent proficiency in English, good German skills and international work experience are a plus
• high level of ownership, curiosity, and entrepreneurial drive, aligned with BASF Winning Ways

• Attractive location: Your work location is in Monheim (near Düsseldorf), the administrative headquarters of BASF Personal Care & Nutrition GmbH. The Monheim office has a canteen and modern, flexible workspaces designed to accommodate various teams and functions.
• Hybrid Work: You can combine remote work with up to 3 office days. Regular visits of our headquarters in Ludwigshafen are required, e.g. for monthly team days or unit events. Depending on the project/client, journeys to other BASF sites may be necessary as well.
