The Professorship of Digital Health at the FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg invites applications for a fully funded Postdoctoral Researcher position

Ihre Aufgaben

The Chair of Digital Health at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher for an 18-month translational research project investigating non-invasive spinal cord stimulation as a rehabilitative strategy for people with neuromuscular disease. The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, coordination, conduct, and analysis of a clinical research study and will work at the interface of neurotechnology, neurorehabilitation, clinical neuroscience, and quantitative data analysis.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in a clinical study investigating non-invasive spinal cord stimulation as a rehabilitative strategy for people with spinal muscular atrophy. The position combines study coordination, direct interaction with participants, neurophysiological and functional assessments, multimodal data analysis, and scientific dissemination. The postdoctoral researcher will work closely with clinical and engineering collaborators and will have substantial responsibility for the implementation of the study and the preparation of scientific publications.

Ihr Profil

Notwendige Qualifikationen:

Applicants should hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as neuroscience, biomedical engineering, physiology, medical technology, or physiotherapy. Experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable:

• clinical or human-subject research;
• neurostimulation or neuromodulation;
• neurorehabilitation;
• electromyography or clinical neurophysiology;
• movement analysis or motion capture;
• programming in Python, MATLAB, R, or a comparable environment.
