WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

We will shortly be founding a separate company in our Agricultural Solutions division, BASF Agricultural Solutions Deutschland GmbH (BASD). You will then be hired by this new company on a permanent contract. Employment will begin on 1 August 2026 at the earliest.

As part of the Metabolism team within the Consumer Safety group, you provide scientific and regulatory oversight of metabolism studies on crop protection, supporting both the maintenance of existing registrations and the assessment of the registrability of new candidates.

• In your new role, you are responsible for the scientific and regulatory monitoring of metabolism studies (e.g. plant, livestock, comparative in vitro) conducted by external Contract Research Organizations (CROs).
• You ensure that studies are planned, conducted, documented and delivered in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. OECD guidelines, GLP, GHS) as well as internal quality, timeline and budget expectations.
• In order to successfully meet current guidelines of regulatory authorities for the registration of crop protection products, you contribute to development and alignment of regulatory testing strategies.
• Moreover, you support regulatory submissions and respond to authority questions related to metabolism data.
• When required, you represent BASF in industry working groups, task forces and scientific expert panels within your area of expertise.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• PhD, master's or bachelor's degree in natural or technical sciences
• at least five years of experience as a study director or monitor; alternatively a completed technical education with five years of experience as a study director conducting metabolism studies according to OECD guidelines
• collaborative way of working within cross‑functional teams and taking clear ownership of decisions within your assigned area of responsibility
• effective communication skills in English and German, both verbal and written
