Vielfältige Aufgaben

As a Cyber Security Architect, you define and shape the security foundation of our IT landscape. You design secure architectures, set standards, and act as a trusted advisor for teams across the organization.

Your Responsibilities:

• Define and evolve security architectures, standards and guidelines
• Design and maintain secure, scalable reference architectures
• Act as a trusted advisor for projects from design to implementation
• Conduct threat, vulnerability and risk assessments and define mitigation measures
• Review solution designs to ensure security compliance and best practices
• Perform security analyses and technical audits
• Translate security requirements into practical architectural guidance
• Promote secure-by-design principles across teams
• Develop and deliver training on security architecture

Überzeugendes Profil

Must-Have

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience as a Security Architect or Senior Security Engineer
• Strong expertise in securing IT architectures (cloud, on-premises, hybrid)
• Solid knowledge of security standards and frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001)
• Experience with cloud security technologies (Azure, AWS)
• Strong analytical and self-organisational skills and ability to understand and simplify complex systems
• Confident communicator with the ability to advise and influence stakeholders
• Structured, independent working style with a collaborative mindset
• Fluent in English (B2+)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Certifications such as CISSP, AZ-500 or AWS Security Specialty
• Familiarity with BSI IT-Grundschutz or similar standards
• Experience in international environments

The Cybersecurity department is the central point of contact for all IT security and cybersecurity topics at EnBW. Our goal is to strengthen EnBW’s digital landscape, proactively address emerging threats, and respond to incidents with resilience. We strive for more than just “state‑of‑the‑art cybersecurity” — because only by going beyond industry standards can we contribute sustainably to EnBW’s business success.

The IT Security Governance team develops practical security policies, establishes transparent, risk‑based processes, and monitors compliance with our requirements. With the aim of ensuring flexible and policy‑compliant IT security, we promote standardized IT security architectures and empower business units as well as EnBW employees in the fields of information security and cybersecurity — always with a focus on pragmatic, risk‑oriented solutions.
