WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

As part of our Legal & Compliance Services Hub in Berlin, you support BASF businesses across the EMEA Region in legal and compliance matters, delivering efficient, customer-oriented, and future-ready services aligned with internal standards.

• As part of the first-line service delivery model, you provide legal and compliance services related to local or international standard legal, compliance and IP inquiries, based on approved templates and playbooks.
• Within defined negotiation limits, you review, draft, redline or comment on and negotiate legal and compliance inquiries, ensuring high quality, consistency and compliance with internal guidelines.
• In close collaboration with the business, you interact with internal clients and external counterparties as required in relation to allocated work.
• You support the business in selecting the appropriate high-complexity contractual set-ups for each specific situation.
• By contributing to the maintenance of playbooks, standard templates and clauses, and knowledge-sharing activities, you actively support structured knowledge sharing within the team.
• Additionally, you provide support in the field of law, legal issues and processes, in compliance reviews (including but not limited to conducting compliance due diligence) and legal research, as well as in ad-hoc legal consulting relating to other contract types.
• You also assist with ancillary tasks such as support with translations, presentations, and trend reviews.

WHAT YOU OFFER

• university degree in law (minimum Bachelor of Law)
• fluent working skills in English; fluency in another European language is a strong plus for work in an international environment
• several years of professional experience in the legal and compliance sector
• strong expertise in contract drafting, reviewing and negotiation
• user knowledge of legal databases and standard IT applications
• good communication skills to maintain constant contact with clients and stakeholders as well as other areas with BASF
• confident stakeholder management in an international environment

WHAT WE OFFER

• Gross annual salary (full-time): 48.000 - 52.000 €, depending on qualifications and professional experience - In addition, you can expect a bonus dependent on the company's success
