Scientific Director – Cell Therapy Immunomonitoring & Translational Research (m|f|d)

As Scientific Director, you will be part of our R&D department and strategically drive, coordinate, and monitor our immunomonitoring projects in the field of cell and gene therapy analytics.

• You play a key role in our commitment to establish state-of-the-art cell analytics in conjunction with innovative cell therapy applications and regulatory needs.
• The responsibility to build and extend our GCLP-laboratory as service unit for the immunomonitoring of our clinical trials from first in human to pivotal studies falls into your hands.
• You strategically evaluate our projects in biomarker identification, selection, and oversight of internal and external contract laboratories.
• Extending and guiding a team in project and resource management as well as budget planning to ensure that our immunomonitoring strategy is well-aligned with our Biomedicine department is part of your day to day work.
• You will continuously oversee the status of the projects, address open tasks systematically and effectively to ensure that our top management is well informed to make the right decisions.

• You have a PhD in a scientific discipline and have many years of relevant business experience in the field of immunoncology or oncology.
• A profound track record of leading the development and execution of biomarker strategies within drug development projects, covering the setup and oversight of immunomonitoring measurements is a neccessity. Furthermore excellent knowledge in biomarker assay qualification and validation with repect to GCLP-regulations, ICH-guidelines, IVD and other regulatory guidance documents is required.
• You have gained experience in contract research organization management including hands on experience with vendor identification and qualification.
• Technologies to identify and characterize biomarkers such as flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, qPCR and other molecular technologies are part of your wide knowledge portfolio.
• You are well organised, work independently and have an excellent command of written and spoken English. Strong leadership skills with experience with classical line management as well as leading teams in a multi-functional matrix environment complete your profile.
