You gained some experience as an application engineer, and you already feel familiar with the world of semiconductors? In your new role, you will:

• Interact with key customers and system manufacturers for stakeholder requirements capturing to define the next generation of Digital Isolators for automotive and industrial applications
• Translate target technical value drivers into product requirements (PRQs) based on deep system understanding
• Create the target datasheet for the product(s), application notes and white papers
• Review the product architecture / concept and support the feasibility study to be performed by the R&D team
• Conduct application specific lab testing including documentation of results
• Perform benchmarking of our products and alternative competitors’ parts in application context and cross-referencing; Validate functional prototypes and simulation models of our products at customer sites
• Provide technical guidance to the organization regarding strategy and roadmaps for technology, package, and testing of isolation ICs
• Engage with the wide network of colleagues spread around the globe to specify the product features and feed this information into the product and application roadmaps

Your Profile

You describe yourself as an ambitious team player with technical expertise in semiconductor development. Additionally, you take in information quickly, evaluate it from different points of view and uncover the hidden correlations in it. Customer`s concerns you are highly committed to, and you award them high priority. Your communication skills are excellent and enforce you building lasting relationships and networks – internally and externally.

Beyond, you are best equipped for those tasks if you have:

• A PhD / Master's Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or Physics
• At least 6 years of relevant work experience in (Field) Application Engineering, System Engineering, Technical Marketing or Product Development within the semiconductor industry. Alternatively, you have gained deep experience with Infineon products through other functions or worked at an OEM/Tier1 in the area of power electronics systems
• Strong know-how in requirements driven engineering and basic knowledge in circuitry design
• Experience in Automotive product development is a big plus
• Familiar with galvanically isolated products such as Digital Isolators, Digital Input/ Output, or Gate Driver ICs; experience with communication protocols (e.g. I2C, SPI, CAN, IO-Link) would be a plus
• Knowledge about component standards (e.g. UL 1577, VDE 0884-11, IEC 60747-17) for isolated products and system standards (e.g. IEC 62368-1, GB4943.1)
• Proven experience in leading and structuring complex technical discussions in cross-functional teams and at customers
• An excellent command of English, German would be a plus
